ABOUT US
Hi, I'm Karie! I've been a creative crafter since I was a young child enamored with my grandmother's craft room. She taught me to use her sewing machine when I was in high school and I continued to sew gifts and small projects for my home over the years. When my first daughter was born in 2015 I dove into sewing, expanding my knowledge base and focusing on making clothing and working more with knit (i.e. stretchy) fabric. My favorite thing to sew is comfortable and unique clothing for myself and my kids.

Yes! Starting in Fall 2024 we are offering a range of single time and ongoing group lessons. Check the calendar at the top of this page for the current schedule.

Yes! You know your child best, but if you have concerns about if group or private lessons will be a good fit please reach out. I am happy to adjust lessons to individual needs!
Physical accessibility and Allergy Info.
There are several steps on the front porch leading up to entering The Sewing Room. If you have mobility concerns I am happy to come to you for private lessons. Please reach out!
Just a heads up if you experience pet allergies. Lessons are held in my home sewing studio, and we do have a cat and dog. The dog is put up in a separate area during lessons/groups but the cat may visit.
